Hila Oren, Eran Borochov, their son Guy, and their dog Fistuk welcomed EMIS student Iman from Afghanistan into their home for Shabbat.
“We waited a month for the exciting opportunity to meet him. The idea is to regularly host youths from completely different backgrounds and to be exposed to the ways of living with tolerance and pluralism. We are truly thankful to the Charney Resolution Center for introducing us to EMIS and to the idea of “Menschoring” (mentoring as a “Mensch”, which means good person in Yiddish) and we know that this is only the beginning of what’s to come. We look forward to hosting Iman again in two weeks” —Hila Oren
