ZERO WASTE initiative program by Naka CRC ambassador

October 3, 2019 Limei
What exactly does that mean?

What exactly does that mean?

CRC Ambassador Naka Kerba initiated the Eastern Mediterranean International School (EMIS) "ZERO WASTE" program, a Force for Sustainability and Peace. A team led by Naka created the campaign to promote and raise awareness by volunteering and taking action to make EMIS a Zero Waste zone. Our goals are to guide the students in changing their lifestyles and practices to emulate sustainable natural cycles, where all discarded materials are designed to become resources for others to use.

ZERO WASTE BENEFITS OUR ENVIRONMENT.
What are the benefits of zero waste?

  • Zero waste reduces climate impact.

  • Zero waste conserves resources and minimizes pollution.

  • Zero waste promotes social equity and builds community.

  • Zero waste supports a local circular economy and creates jobs.

  • Zero waste needs businesses to play a critical role.
