Gili Roman, an educator and the brother of Yarden Roman-Gat, who was kidnapped by Hamas, attended a UN meeting to share his family's experience and advocate for the release of other hostages. Yarden, along with her husband Alon and their daughter Geffen, had initially escaped from their kidnappers, but Yarden was recaptured while Alon and Geffen reached safety. Yarden’s cause has been tirelessly supported by her brothers Gili and Liri, her sister Roni, and other family members and friends. Gili has been advocating for the release of all hostages, including Yarden's sister-in-law Carmel and over 120 others still in captivity.
