In June, an educational day supported by the Charney Resolution Center was held at EMIS, the Eastern Mediterranean International School. The day was led by The Forum for Regional Thinking, an organization founded in 2014 that promotes complex discussions about the Middle East and Israel’s place within it, offering diverse, in-depth analysis beyond the traditional Jewish-Israeli narrative.
During the day, students explored the story of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, learned about current realities in the territories, and discussed the idea that all conflicts eventually come to an end. The day concluded with a reflection session where the students shared their thoughts.
Throughout the program, students actively participated, asked thoughtful questions, and compared what they learned to conflicts in their own countries. The event broadened their understanding of regional complexities and encouraged critical thinking. The students look forward to continuing this important collaboration with the Forum in the future.
