On August 27th, 71 new EMIS students from all over the world gathered at the Leon Charney Resolution Center. The Center welcomed the students with an introductory video about the activities that they will be participating in at the center throughout the upcoming year. Sapir Handelman, CEO of the “Minds of Peace” organisation and negotiation moderator, met up with a group of EMIS students in order to prepare them for the annual Peace Simulation that will be taking place February 21st until February 22nd at the Leon Charney Resolution Center in HaKfar HaYarok, Israel. Throughout this meeting, he explained to them the structure of the simulation, what each stage of the debate is and what they would need to be doing throughout the entire event. On October 18, 2018 the Charney Resolution Center and the Minds of Peace NGO (Non-Governmental Organizations) led the two parts of an Israeli-Palestinian Public Negotiating Congress made up of teenagers. A delegation of 25 Palestinian high-school students met a delegation of 25 Israeli high-school students in Tel-Aviv to discuss, debate, and negotiate solutions to their current situation.Read More
