On Friday, March 17, around 2000 Israelis & Palestinians from all walks of life came to Rabin Square to discuss, debate, and negotiate the conditions for an effective peace process. The negotiations were conducted around 40 tables plus a plenary one. This unique event was another significant step towards the establishment of a major Israeli-Palestinian Public Negotiating Congress with political influence.

On Sunday, 12 March 2017, Haifa University Professor Aaron Ben Ze’ev of the Philosophy Faculty gave the students of EMIS a comprehensive lecture on the subject of compromise in the areas of love and romance.

EMIS students succeed where no government has before, bringing Israelis and Palestinians to agree on terms for peace & a two-state solution.
They proved that through empathy and compromise, peace is possible! Sapir Handelman, Lentz Fellow in Peace and Conflict Resolution Research at the University of Missouri-St. Louis helped the students, and Nathan Stock, Director of the Conflict Resolution Program at The Carter Center.

Peace Simulation Event | Day ONE
Dr. Nimrod Novik, who has served for over 2 decades as Chairman of the Board of the ECF (Economic Cooperation Foundation), promoting Middle East cross-border cooperation in the political, security, economic and civic spheres, and Saman Khoury, former member of the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, and co-founder of Peace Now both were there to help the students. Early on Tuesday morning, January 31st, the Visual Arts students of EMIS woke up for a jam-packed day ahead. With the aim of establishing an understanding of the connection between art and conflict, we were determined to, for a day, open our ears and minds to the perspectives of local artists. So, after eating breakfast and packing a lunch, we were off, headed towards the hills of Jerusalem, to the leading arts and design school in Israel, Bezalel University.
