On August 27th, 71 new EMIS students from all over the world gathered at the Leon Charney Resolution Center. The Center welcomed the students with an introductory video about the activities that they will be participating in at the center throughout the upcoming year. We wish all the EMIS students and staff a successful new year and we look forward to collaborating with you.

On April 17th, EMIS had it's 5th-year reunion event. Approximately 30 EMIS alumni attended. Some among them came from the West Bank and the Netherlands, especially for the event.

Sapir Handelman, CEO of the “Minds of Peace” organisation and negotiation moderator, met up with a group of EMIS students in order to prepare them for the annual Peace Simulation that will be taking place February 21st until February 22nd at the Leon Charney Resolution Center in HaKfar HaYarok, Israel. Throughout this meeting, he explained to them the structure of the simulation, what each stage of the debate is and what they would need to be doing throughout the entire event. Stay tuned to see what resolutions these students will come up with for peace!

On October 18, 2018 the Charney Resolution Center and the Minds of Peace NGO (Non-Governmental Organizations) led the two parts of an Israeli-Palestinian Public Negotiating Congress made up of teenagers. A delegation of 25 Palestinian high-school students met a delegation of 25 Israeli high-school students in Tel-Aviv to discuss, debate, and negotiate solutions to their current situation.

For the past three months, a group of EMIS students met once a week with Tzurit Yehuda of Gevim Group, for an elective mediation course. On May 29, we all met for the last time this year, to evaluate and hear from the students what they took from this experience.
